Another Ricoh GXR camera body and A12-28 (APS-C sized 12 MP sensor, 18.3/2.5 lens) lens module have recently arrived. Lens has provision for the shade, but it comes without one. Other than that - it is even smaller and lighter than A12-50 module. The only functional difference between A12-28 and A12-50 is lack of macro mode. However it focuses as close as 20 cm, so it can be used for exaggerated closeup...

My first impression is that the picture quality is just as good as that of A12-50. By the way, it happens to be direct competitor (at least in terms of sensor size and focal length) to newly introduced Nikon Coolpix A.
